Goal1:
My academic goal is to put a little more time in the assignments I do. Action Plans
1: I will work longer when doing an assinment.
2: I will take more time to review what I did.
3: I will look it over and see if I made a mistake.

Goal 2:
I think I should work on keeping all of my things organized. Action Plans
1; I will organize my desk more often.
2:I will try not to make it messy.
3:I will put everything in the right spot.

Ways Mrs. Halverson can help me are: For working more on assignments when I'm done, she can tell me to go and make sure.
For organizing all of my stufff she can tell me where everything can go.

Ways my family can help me are: My family can help with assignments by helping me review it longer.
My family can help me organize by helping me clean it up.

On organizing my things, I'm not doing as well as I expected but I'm getting there. I know Im getting there because my desk looks better than it did on the third day of school.
I'm not doing well on taking my time on assignments because I'm going the same pace I was. I need to work on my goals a lot more.

3-14-12
Reflection: On a scale from 1-5 My academic goal is at a 5. I am taking more time to do assignments. Im taking all the time I need to do my best. Especialy on projects like Black history. For my organizing goal Im preety much at a 2. I haven't really made progress. I think that if I make my desk so that I can see everything I might actually beat this goal. I am going to try to organize it so that everything that is in the same subject that I use is in the same area.

Some things that Im grateful that I haveThings For Which I am Grateful

I am grateful for the shelter my parents provide for me because a lot of people are homeless and don’t have anywhere to rest. I am grateful for the food I get from school and at home because even though homeless people get enough food they barely hang on with it. Also some people have enough money to pay taxes and bills, but don’t have enough money to feed their family. It’s really painful knowing that some people don’t have food. They’ll have to eat less portion sizes. I am grateful for my family because some people have never met their family and live alone with nobody there for them. Also if you’re homeless your family will only see you if they walk or drive by. It also might be to painful for your family to look at you. I am thankful for the water I get. Your whole body is 75% water so if you go a week without water you can die. If you stop drinking water your body can’t reproduce water so your heart will stop because your heart basically lives off of water.
I am thankful for my parents love because they are my parents and I’ll never lose them because they’ll always be in my heart.
I am thankful for my ancestors because if they would have never birthed my parents, my parents could have never birthed me.
I am thankful for my teacher because if she doesn’t teach me I wouldn’t be able to become successful when I grow up.
I’m grateful for substitutes because they teach me when my teacher is sick or if she can’t make it. Substitutes really teach you even if they don’t understand.

A zebra family race.The Race

By Alex Smith

One evening mama zebra was calmly making her children some breakfast. Her oldest child shouted “ I’m allergic”. Mama zebra yelled “no your not”. The Second Oldest Roared “It’s impossible”. The youngest was the only boy in the family. His name was Jerry. He only used short sentences like “it’s right there or “ yeah. Today he didn’t say a word. Tonight was the night before the race, he thought in his head. After he finished his breakfast he started practicing. His mother wondered why he was running. The oldest child Mary reminder her about the annual cheetah verses zebra race. The second oldest child Carry was the quickest in the family. She didn’t worry about the race that much. Mary mumbled to Carry “you should still try even if you are the quickest. She responded “no I already practiced.

Chapter two

Practice

It was 6:30 pm. Races were going to start in the next hour, and the zebra family only did one practice race. The family decided that the next race would be Jerry against Carry. Jerry was determined to beat his sister. He knew his sister was quicker than him. He was scared on the inside but calm on the outside. It was literally heating up. Before they started the race they drunk a sip of water. They began the race after. Carry started off slow to let her brother get far. Then she started to run quick. Carry was running at tremendous speeds. By the second lap, they were neck and neck. All of a sudden Jerry got a boost of speed. He won the race.

The Race.

Mary spat in Carry’s face. “I told you practicing makes perfect”. She cackled. They started to fight. Usually Mary wins but Carry beat her. You should say that to yourself. Carry stated. Mommy, mommy Mary cried. After everything was settled it was time for the race. Everyone was ready. It was finally time for the race. The announcer zebra announced it’s going to be a huge race. The race will start after we say the pledge of allegiance. Then the race started. Zebras and cheetahs where everywhere. Then out of nowhere came Jerry. No one could catch up. Not even Carry. Jerry won the race. When they got home Jerry put his trophy right next to the trophies Carry won. The family never forgot the day they won that race.

Chapter Two, Fish.

Mr Puppy and Pekok ran to the canoe, and started fishing. 30 minutes passed and they only caught one fish. Pekok was beginning to grow impatient. Mrs. Puppy was growing hungry. Mr. Puppy thought all hope was lost until-a giant fish, the size of Pekok’s stomach tugged on Pekoks fishing line. Pekok tried to reel it in but, it just kept fighting. Mr. Puppy jumped into the water and picked it up himself. Now all they needed to do was catch one more. Peko saw a fish so he rafted over to it. He scared it right to Mrs. Puppy. Mrs. Puppy grabbed it. Mrs. Puppy called to Pekok and jawed gross. Then They started to eat.

Chapter Three, Food.

Mrs. Puppy packed a lot of food. The family decided that, since Mrs. Puppy didn’t want any fish, Pekok could have the huge one. Mr. Puppy could only have the other two. Mrs Puppy packed chips, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, juice boxes, and containers in case they have leftovers. They felt like kings and a queen when they got done eating. They ate so much food that neither one of them ate until 5:00 the next morning. It was awesome.
chapter 4, leaving

The family was satisfied. They didn’t think it would be that fun. When it was time to leave Pekok didn’t want to go. Mr. Puppy had to drag him to the car. Before they left Pekok asked his father o
A house is alive and is hungry. The Killer House

By Alex Smith

There was a boy named Julian and a girl named Angel. They both lived on Apple Pie Street. Little did they know that the house the corner was haunted. One day they found out. I’m going to tell you all about it.

One day Julian and Angel were walking down the street. It was a sunny day. All of a sudden a tongue shot out. It gobbled them whole. They wanted to get out and kill the beast. So they thought of a plan.

Julian went up stairs to where he thought the nose was. He sprinkled salt on it. The house sneezed. Then Angel went to its mouth and tugged on the uvula. She slid out of its mouth. Lastly Julian found dynamite and blew it up. After the town awarded them with medals and whenever trouble called they came to the rescue.
ne question. “Are we coming back”? He questioned. Sure Mr. Puppy whispered. “Just don’t tell your mom or she’ll make us full until December”. He snickered. And the family went on with life never forgetting the time they had together.
